Christmas eve eve [Dec. 23rd, 2009|07:24 pm]

so I did my weight watchers today and I think I am still at 198. I say think because I actually used the home scale and it's not a digital so it's a little hard to tell what your weight is. The needle was a little under 200 so that's still good.

My boss called me to a meeting today and gave me some good news. I was informed that I was getting a bonus as kind of thanks for being a great employee bonus. Well that and as kind of a payback since I did not get a raise when I got a promotion at my last review. So that was a nice suprise and I will certainly take it. I stoped at frys on the way home and was about to spend a lot of it to. I wanted a new motherboard, CPU, and ram to make my computer faster but then I thought to myself "do I really need it"? The answer is no. My computer is still fine so I put it all back. I am really glad I did to because there are things I actually need more that just a slightly faster computer. Sure it's Christmas and it would be nice present but I need to be a bit more careful with money.

Overdue update [Dec. 10th, 2009|01:55 pm]

So I forgot to make updates the last couple of weeks so here we go.

First in total I am down 2.4 pounds so I am now under 200 pounds. It was a hard fight because there was thanksgiving and I was sick with the flu. I am so happy to see myself under 200 again but I still have far to go so I can't lose focus now

Next I had the flu last week and oh god was that hell. I'm better now but I sound horribe because I am coughing up all kinds of gunk.

Work is pretty slow right now because they don't want to try and get anything out before the holiday because we won't actually see revenue because of it so we are kind of in this holding pattern till next year. This is fine, it gives me a chance to learn python which I have been wanting to do for a while.

Well that's it in a nutshell. Take care all

Mff bound [Nov. 19th, 2009|12:51 pm]

So I am sitting here in the airport waiting for my flight to board so I thought I would make some update

First I would like to report that this week I lost 1.4 pounds so I am at 200.8 pounds. That's a huge deal to me because I am right at that edge of dropping below 200 pounds. That's a big deal to me because I did not think I would ever get there again. I just have to keep on lookin at each goal and not lose focus or hope.

Next thing is we released our latest software at work and it's looking good so that's a plus. Work itself is still kind of bleh though. There is just no morale around the office because of the layoffs. Oh well we will just see where things go I guess

I guess that's really all for now. I will report on the con when I get back

So I am not sure if anyone else plays iphone games but I have kind of gotten into the the game "World War." It kind of reminds me of barren realms elite which I used to love and you can form alliances and I need some in order to progress with the missions. Oh also I gained 0.8 pounds this week but I kind of expected that with the layoffs this week. I was not hit though.

This week in the news [Oct. 28th, 2009|02:56 pm]
So I lost another 3.2 pounds this week but that does not seem right to me. I should not have lost that much and I certainly don't want to lose more than 2 pounds a week because then I am not losing fat. Thats okay though, I am sure that this weekend the Halloween candy will get to me and I will gain some of that back. And thats really a shame to because 200 pounds is just within reach right now and I really want it bad.

I am done with my work on the latest big release and boy am I wiped out. You can only work so many nights and weekends because you just about go crazy. The manager of this release has really been cracking the whip hard. I think its because this is his first major release he has had to manage as well so he is a bit nervous about making sure it goes out on time. Although seriously its getting to the point that if he keeps pushing us this hard I think a lot of people are going to start getting sick, and I mean actually sick because of the overwork and no time to rest. Bad enough there is flu going around, exhausting yourself does not help.

Well time for me to get back to work. Now that I have my release work out of the way I need to catch up on the projects that I want to do to make things work more smoothly around here.

couple of updates [Oct. 26th, 2009|11:44 am]
So i did not make post about my last two weigh ins, and the reason is because they were not that great. Two weeks ago I only lost 0.6 pounds and last week I stayed even, 0 gain or loss. Thats okay though, I think I have hit that point where I have lost all the easy weight, now I need to work harder at it. I also need Halloween to pass because I am sick of seeing all this tempting candy at the store!

the journey continues [Oct. 8th, 2009|10:24 am]

So we did not have a weight watchers meeting last week because there were no confrence rooms available but the good news is that we did get enough people to continue with the program. When I went to weigh in yesterday I was sure that I was going to gain a pound over the two week period because my birthday was on the 28th and boy did I pig out. I have a ton of sushi and some of it was deep fried so of course that is bad for you. And then I have some delicious cold stone. I am pretty sure there is a rule somewhere that says you get your birthday off when it comes to weight watchers, I am sure thats in the program somewhere. So anyway I went to weigh in yesterday and over the two week period I ........ lost 3.6 pounds. I was very shocked to say the least. Course I was doing a lot of physical work over the last two weekends so I should not look at this as an excuse to just eat cold stone all the time.

So the work I have been doing over the last two weekends is cleaning out a large section of the garage so that I can get a motorcycle. I hauled so much e-waste to the recycling center it was just crazy. So I did a lot of heavy lifting and such all day Saturday and Sunday so I am pretty sure I burned off a lot of calories those days. Keiko was very helpful and kind enough to let me do these things so big thanks to him since it was all his stuff anyway and I know he hates to throw anything away. So it really was very nice of him to accommodate me. We kind of helped each other out. I know he wants to get rid of things but just can't bring himself to do it, and I am willing to make it disappear as long as he tells me what he wants to go away. We work well together that way.

Course I should also throw in that the cleaning out of the garage has had to be worked into the working nights and weekend thing that I am still doing at work. the release is almost over though so things will get better soon.

Just wondering what games to people play these days. Is anyone still playing WoW? Is anyone playing the new Dungeons and Dragons Online free? What about the new Champions Online, or Lord of the Rings? Just wondering what if anything people are playing.

So only lost 0.2 pounds this week which really feels like nothing but I guess every little bit helps. The good news is it looks like we will have enough people to continue the program but sadly not enough to get the e-tools for free. That's okay though, I had already planned to pay for e-tools anyway because its just to damn helpful.

Work is still insane but then when is it not you know :). But I do like having a job and money so it all works out in the end.

So today was really the day that determined the moment of truth. Could I break my goal of 210. And the results are.........YES! I lost another 1.4 pounds this week which puts me at 209.6. I feel very happy about this because I feel like that 200 goal is now well within reach. I reallly hope that the program continues. It's in a little danger at work if not enough people sign up. It was the ease of it being at work and the encouragement of others that has helped me to yet this far. I really would like to keep that.

planning is good. [Sep. 15th, 2009|11:30 am]
So I am going out with friends to dinner tonight and its a tradition that we go to Red Robin. This has presented me with quite the challenge because trying to find anything at Red Robin that's less that 30 points is about damn near impossible (I get 33 points a day). Thank god the Red Robin website allows for a burger customization and then nutrition calculation because it allowed me to fix one of the grilled chicken sandwiches and make it 11 points. You would be amazed how much you save in points just by getting rid of the cheese and the mayo, oh and adding a whole wheat bun. I admit its a far cry from what I would normally get but I don't want to eat a burger, blow all my bonus points and then go and weigh in tomorrow where I will likely show that I gained 2 pounds or something.

Well I will report in tomorrow but I am sure it will say I have only lost like half a pound if that, but that's better than nothing.

So this week is turning it a hellish week. I have been working till late all week fixing others problems. I got it all done at least and management recognized that I was fixing others problems and thanked me.

On a second note lost 0.2 pounds this week. I can do better than that.

I lost more this week so yay! I lost a total of 2.2 pounds. I have almost hit my next goal of getting under 210, just need to lose another 1.4 pounds. After that it will be on to 200. Oh so happy deer

Update on weight [Aug. 27th, 2009|02:05 pm]

So a few people noticed that I had skipped a couple of weeks in my lj about posting my weight watchers progress. Well the honest reason is because 3 weeks ago I had slipped a lot and gained 1.6 pounds and was pretty upet at myself. I feel like I hit my plateau as it were and so I was struggeling with the plan. I have since got back on and lost weight over the past two weeks. So here are the totals

3 weeks ago I gained 1.6 pounds
2 weeks ago I lost 2 pounds
This week I lost 0.4 pounds

Just got to stick with it and resist the sweets that are in my house.

So I realize this will mean nothing to most of you unless you are a gaming geek like me and a D&D geek as well. Last night the beta for Dungeons and Dragons Online Unlimited ended and they decided to go out in style. The devs were spawning all kind of monsters and raid level creatures in the common areas and it was so much fun to watch the chaos and mayhem. Of course you had lots of dragons around as well just destroying players. Plus they made it rain ham, and who does not like ham, I mean seriously now. All in all it was fun to watch and participate in the chaos.

For anyone who is a gaming person like me, D&D unlimited is going to be a free to play game with micro transactions, IE much of the base content is free but you have to purchase a couple of the special races and classes and some of the content if you want to play that but there is more than enough there to check it out for free if you want. Starts September 9th. check out ddo.com if you might be interested.

Not so good this week [Aug. 5th, 2009|03:26 pm]

So this week I only lost 0.4 pounds and I know exactly what my mistakes were. I used up and went over my weekly extra bonus points which means I was eating to much. You might find thus odd because one day I only ate like half my daily points total but the the next day I more than made up for it. No more of that! I am not going to let myself fall off and into a bad pattern. I actually had a coworker comment that I look thinner and I like to hear that.
Whew okay pep talk over. Back to work now :).

SO I got a call from the sleep study people and they finished the complete analysis of my study and they concluded that I have moderate sleep apnea. I am not sure what that means or what they can do for me but when I go back to the ENT doctor I am sure he will go over everything.

Weekly report [Jul. 29th, 2009|11:54 am]

Yay I am down another 2.6 pounds. So that makes a total of 12.4 pounds, so very happy!!! So I have lost a little more than 5%.
I know that I can get below 200 before the end of the year, heck before the end of September. I should be close to 180 by the end of the year
On another note I went in fir my sleep study and sadly it was not a clear cut case of sleep apnea for me. The nurse monitoring me said my blood oxygen level was fine but I never actully reached a state of deep sleep. I was really hoping that it would be clear that I was not sleeping so that I could get it fixed. My full results we be in a few weeks, I will find out my options then.
